The sculptor,the book,his friend & the exhibition

We attended the opening of an exhibition The House Is Black by the artist Behruz Heshmat. He is an old friend of Mrs H. She had brought along a book which featured a picture of one of his early sculptures (of a minstrel) on the cover. It was this sculpture which contributed to him getting into trouble with the Shah's regime and going into exile from Iran in the 1970s - unhappy the land that fears an artist.

The exhibition features tree houses. In the background you can see "Burnt Birth" and "The House of Wisdom".
