Nor'wester on the way
I live in Christchurch, Canterbury, the South Island of New Zealand.
We have big skies. Tonight's sunset though brief and contained is a portent of a hot, dry nor'westerly tomorrow.
Large is truly Canterbury
Our prevailing weather comes across the Tasman Sea, literally hits the Southern Alps, pushes up and over, usually dropping plenty of rain/snow on the west and just over the spine of the South Island onto the eastern side.
Then it warms and speeds up as it descends. It's usually warm - hot and often windy. Something to look forward to so long as it doesn't bring damaging winds or flooding.
Fortunately for me there is a sunset tonight. Blipping may have boarded on frantic otherwise ;-) My plans have disintegrated with and unexpected visitors and phone calls.
Time to sort the kitchen, prepare for tomorrow, stretch and shower. Bed will be very good when I get to it.
