this is the first picture i have taken in a long time that felt worth much of anything.

i'm tired all the time. we never get days off. i spend all my time just barely staying afloat, and sacrificing things right and left. over it, over it, over it.

you only live once...why spend so much of it in the hopeless pursuit of things that seek to make you miserable? grad school is such a sham.

also, i think a bone fragment from when i had my wisdom teeth removed 4 years ago is coming out through my gums. very painful - hooray!

also, government shutdown, debt ceiling. if the government collapses, can we get a holiday?
