Mexican snow ball

I believe these to be the flowers of Echeveria elegans, a succulent native to the semi-desert areas of Central America, but here flourishing in a conservatory in Abergavenny, at the house of a member of our writing group! For some unfathomable reason it goes by the common name Mexican snow ball. Ever seen a pink and yellow ball of snow, or a green one for that matter?

Look at it L to see the nectar and the pollen.
