Paisley Abbey

Not one of my usual haunts, a place of Christian worship, but when the doom laden Church of Scotland is replaced by the doom laden The Twilight Sad and the marvellous Admiral Fallow all accompanied by the RSNO then it's worth pulling up a pew.

First up was The Twilight Sad; wasn't sure how this would play out given their wall of sound approach but they pulled it off with their own stripped down sound and the lighter touches of the orchestra.

Admiral Fallow were next on and given they were classically trained they tended to work better with the orchestra (arrangements by the drummer, when did drummers know about music?).

All in all quite a special gig if a little short, but then again I'm guessing the RSNO's hourly rate isnae cheap!!
