Palace of the Winds

We spent the morning in Jaipur before heading on the crazy road to Delhi. This stunning building is The Palace of the Winds. Our brilliant guide knew exactly the best place for the perfect photo, up three flights of steps and on the rooftop over the road. I think it was well worth it.

A fascinating trip to the observatory Jantar Mantar which means Magic charts. Astrological paradise.

On to buy some jewellery. ( I was reasonably sensible but couldn't resist a Lapis Lazuli pendant and two loose stones. Good price)

Indian motorways are worse than ours. Not planning ahead they've had to go back and build flyovers. Or they would have done but with elections pending the current government aren't paying. So there's no work being done quite yet. It was fascinating but I'm glad we're safely in the hotel.
