Venice

I just read an article in National Geographic about Vanishing Venice. It talked about the floods both water and people. The impression the article gives is very sad. I'm not talking about the problem with water but the tourism. Almost every given moment there are more tourists than local people who can't even afford to live there any more.

We visited Italy this summer and also went to see Venice. It was lovely but my feelings correspond pretty much with the article. However, we also bought a carneval mask which is now hanging on our hall wall.
