This Sucks.

Well, not really. Had a bit of a drive today to find the right airconditioner as despite being in a hot climate, we're in October and they don't sell air con units until April next year now so what is left are dwindling stocks of unsold units.

So finding the right unit became a bit of a nightmare and a 100 mile round trip to another town further down the coast. Which took most of the day in the end.

Sounds strange but I could get an 8000 BTU unit quite easily. But I really wanted a 10,000 or 12,000 unit. Although the area to cool is quite limited, it's better to overpower the area where possible, hence going for the biggest unit you can afford. And bigger is a slightly more expensive outlay, but it's cheaper to run because it cools the air much much faster. Cheaper to run means better chance of collecting your rent each month because you are competing against the electric company afterall for money.

Although this month we're competing with the State fair as well. Heck, people will head down the fair and face being evicted.....hopefully not the latest tenants though.

The weather is still in the 80s (high 20/low 30s)......it is glorious weather.
