KL on the TV

I could probably do with paying closer attention to things that don't interest me, at least sometimes. For the last few weeks, I've heard people mentioning the filming of a TV programme in Kirkby Lonsdale, often enough for me to pick up that it's called 'Jamaica Inn'.

However, at no point did I ask anyone when it would be happening or, indeed, exactly what was going to be involved. Thus, I was only sort of surprised last night when I was approached just after parking my car in the market square by two men, who inquired as to how long I was planning to park there. "Um, overnight, actually." There was enough building activity of a clearly temporary nature going on for me to grasp that this was something to do with the TV.

This morning, I came back to move my car at 8am - as negotiated with the gentlemen the night before - and then came back to take this shot. It's an extraordinary operation: I can't wait to see what it looks like when it's finished.
