first day of the holidays. i had the 3 kids all to myself most of the day. went to the beach park in the morning, then met jill and louisa in north berwick for lunch and some pottery 'painting' (slathering). somehow i find it easier having the kids on my own. gordon is brilliant with them, and we have great times all together, but meltdowns are definitely rarer when it's just me with them. maybe i just give them more snacks...
