Amur Tiger

The weather turned a little more highland today with mizzle and cold. Low clouds shrouded all but the lowest hills. We headed to the Highland Wildlife Park.

Our first visit since 2009, we were impressed by the new developments and enclosures. The two Polar bears provided most amusement, larking about in their pond playing with a plastic hard hat. No idea how they had got hold of it, but it was keeping them entertained.

One highlight for me was seeing Heather the Weather in the cafe.

This male Amur tiger was marking his territory when I took this pic which might explain the pleased expression.
