Sorted!
I don't know about you but I always loved maths at school. In fact I was the first girl at my High School to ever do 'A' level maths (and physics) which is quite amazing as that was 1983.
As a teacher I am very aware that many girls believe that they can't 'do' maths and that is often reinforced by negative attitudes at home. So there has been efforts recently to see if the way that maths is taught to girls can make a difference.
Here are some resources that I'm going to use to apply sorting, data handling and measuring skills. The boys will be able to choose to use these if they want, as will the girls be able to choose the Lego. It will be interesting to see who chooses what. And of course there'll be sparkly pens to do the recording with!!!
