Hraunfossar

The day started with poor light on the pretty mountain - no sunrise pictures for us! We ended up going back to the mountain to take some photos with the fantastic orange an green grass - however, I'd been playing with my settings and somehow managed to set the camera not to take pictures when I was using liveview to compose the picture. I'm glad I noticed this when I did, as I still had a chance to go back and take a few more pictures; but I was rather disappointed with myself for not looking earlier!

Next stop were the two waterfalls Barnafoss and Hraunfossar which are within metres of each other. Barnafoss had no light on it - but the autumn colours at Hraunfossar made up for it. I had to face my fear of heights (yet again!) going down the scree slope to get some shots from water level, but it was worth it.

Back to Reykjavik for the night, where a brass band decided to play (badly!) the Death March at 11.30pm outside the hotel. No idea why, but it did cause some confusion before I realised it was coming from outside.
