Woodland surprise.

There was an ominous sky this morning when we set out for our morning walk so we headed to the woods down to Ravenroyd on the River Aire, near Bingley.

Soon it actually stopped raining and we added a woodland extension to the usual Riverside walk that is normally part of our return from the hamlet of Marley.

This was most fortuitous as returning to the stables at Ravenroyd at the foot of the woods we spotted a Stag (rarely seen) and soon after two hinds that we see more commonly.

I decided my small camera probably wouldn't do them justice so just enjoyed watching them but WilsdenWalker got a great shot.

A pleasant start to Monday despite the weather.
