take off

Back on the jetty again. What a difference from yesterday when we had blue sky and there were lots of people around. Had the place to myself today with only a few gulls for company.

I started photographing 2 gulls at the end of the jetty and got closer... and closer... and this one just continued preening. I stood with finger on shutter ready for take off. And when it did I chopped part of it's wing off.

Not bad for a point and shoot compact though.

The coloured beak and legs.... didn't know how to do that until today. Don't know if I like the effect but it's uploaded now.
