Angle of Repose

It is an unusually warm fall morning in Grand Rapids. I came across these abandoned tools, scattered at all angles on the sidewalk. Perhaps a worker is taking a smoke break.

These beautiful trees are always the first to turn, always the last to fall.
Half of this imagined season seems purposed to remind us, summer is almost over.
