Mad Dogs and Englishmen
Look what I found - this was Lobster Night in Wellesley - and there is nothing like fresh New England lobster and garlic butter made by my lovely husband. I think we polished off two lobsters each, a little bit greedy but they were on special offer. This was right at the start of our New England holiday and little did we know then that it was gonna be one culinary feast after the other. Whoever said that the American's only eat bugers and pizza's has not been to the right places. Barking Crab, Redbones Ribs, Leagal Seafoods........to name but a few (not to mention many many trips to Dunkin Donuts and Peets).
Back on the other side of the pond reality bites and the waistline must now receed just like the tide at Wingasheet Beach (fast and furious). Somehow though I think it will be a long hard slog to shake off the mounds of delicious ice-cream and cooladas but ahhhh the memories.
Tomorrow we are BBQing - it will be the last one of the summer (in fact it will only be the second in total as the anticipated 'best summer in years' never materialised). We will be reuniting with family and friends who spent their holidays also on the East Coast but down in South Florida and I feel a competition of 'whose holiday was best' coming on.
Tonight me and the hubby - who is currently bouncing up and down on a mini trampoline in the kitchen as I blip - are going out for a curry...........my diet.........well now that will definiately start sometime soon, but I hate to be a slave to time x
