Potentilla

Don't know what variety this is but I do love the colour of it. I cut it back a while ago and here it is, flowering its little heart out again! It is a low growing spreading perennial, not a shrub, with its flowers on the ends of long arching stems. A bit like a geum in habit.

Rather rambling telephone conversation with Dad at lunchtime. He was cheery but very confused, but is back home again and now my mother has two daughters close at hand to help her, so life should be easier all round. Feel a bit guilty, but there isn't a lot I can do from up here.

Re-watched the Great British Year on BBC1 - stunning photography, beautifully done. Well worth a watch at least once!
