And then it rained...

The roadworks were begun outside school during the holidays - the theory being that they'd be finished in time for school to start back. Thanks to the weather the job isn't even half done. We've had some really impressive rain, lightening and thunder today. I love weather like this but it's not really the best for the kids first day back at school!

No noisy roadworks to contend with in classrooms today though, too wet for them to work. But the downpours have created potholes in the unsealed road that you could lose a small child in. I wasn't keen to get wet so I stood on the school verandah and took photos of the traffic hitting the closest pothole.
