Sunrise Cave Rock Christchurch NZ
Thank you to everyone who looked at, commented, left stars and hearts on my Blip yesterday. Was great to see it in Spotlight! Shows you don't have to go far to get an image, that was 3 steps from my front door.
Beautiful morning, so got out early - warm and a lovely warm breeze - usually our breezes are cold!
Nice light, but I'm realizing more and more that the light is better just before sunrise.
Cave rock is a large volcanic rock with a tunnel through it. At the moment it is fenced off due to earthquake damage.
The signal station was used in the 19th century to signal ships crossing the Sumner bar when ships unloaded at Ferrymead. The mast has been damaged by the quakes.
