........one single, solitary pint...........

The fishing wasn't good today......cold and damp.......and I got my tactics all wrong.....I should have thought about the drop in temperature this week....it affects the way fish feed.......I started on paste bait....switched to worm....and by half way through the match I'd only caught two fish....a nice roach and a small skimmer.......and then it came to me......cold water...small bait.....switched to maggots and caught 6 nice carp......too little, too late.

Home to dinner with the family....and a play with Charlie.........and then the phone rang....it was D....he's gone down with man flu....so he wasn't coming for a beer tonight......B is away in Belgium......so here am I........having a pint at home and blipping.....while in the living room the Boss is watching Downton Abbey.

Oh well only 8 more get ups to half term.
