Will you still have the Queen?

"Will you have to have a seperate passport?"
"What currency will you use?"
"Will you still have the Queen?"

These are some of the questions my English friends ask about the Scottish Referendum.

And I don't know.

Why? Call it a mixture of apathy and complacency but I'm among many living in Scotland who don't take the campaign for Scottish independence seriously, regarding it as little more than a pipe - dream of half a dozen ego-maniacal politicians , though I suspect the real agenda is not independence but wrestling some more power from Westminster for the Scottish Parliament.

And I am all in favour of that.

Today on my return home from holiday I found this leaflet :
Better Together - sentiments I endorse.

Then it occurred to me that if others like myself can't be bothered to vote we may end up with a breakaway Scotland- by default.
