Thank you for your kind messages yesterday - I am feeling fine but it was certainly a wake up call.

This afternoon I spent time in the garden trying to bring a little order to the post summer chaos with so much that has finished producing in the way of fruit and flowers and it all generally needs some tlc. I have a few compost bins and one is being used at the moment to store woody prunings so that they can harden off enough to go through my shredder without clogging it up. Bruce developed a real interest in the ground at the left of the bin and while I was away at another part of the garden he was a very busy boy, digging away at the base as you can see. When I came back to add more prunings to the bin I noticed that he had managed to get the door off and was actually inside rummaging about. I went in to fetch the camera and then called him, and this was the result!
