" WISHING AND HOPING, WAITING AND DREAMING "
Sung by Dusty Springfield. We seemed to wait forever for the high speed trains to appear this morning. We were late collecting Matthew from his special home but for once he didn't complain. We knew the weather was due to rain very soon, so it was a quick dash to Creech St Michael where he likes to watch, wait and listen for the sound of the train approaching. I have shared this bridge with you all before.
I think Phoebe gets just as excited as Matthew, when the train plunges underneath the bridge with a whoosh and re-emerges the other side with another whoosh and excitement.
We were only there about 10 minutes then it was off to the usual garden centre for a drink and cake. I wander around with Phoebe, not being allowed to take her in of course to the food area. Apparently Matthew declined coffee, coke but instead went for water?!! Someone has probably told him it's good for him to drink less junk, and of course he will take it to extreme.
I remember someone saying to him "Take your feet off", before entering a room somewhere. He looked horrified, taking it quite literally. We all say words that have hidden meanings. For instance, I have never heard Adrian say YES. It is always NO, very firmly. You might wonder why that is.
Think about it - yes, can leave you open to all sorts of things if you dont really understand what is on offer. But no - it's a very definate word - cannot be mistaken or misinterrpreted.
So that was another Sunday - watched a re-run of F1 - boring result again. Small thingy won again - yawn!!
Didn't cook a roast today as we decided we'd eaten too much anyway this weekend. Will probably have roast chicken tomorrow night.
Just going to watch Downton Abbey, catch up with blipping and get ready for another week ahead.
Hope you have all enjoyed a recharge weekend. Enjoyed laughter, love, and all the things that make you happy.
Until we 'meet' again - live in-love with life, be thankful for who you are and the many gifts you're givenXX
