Autumn

It's my favourite time of the year!

Apologies for the shaky edge to this one but it was raining and I was crouched down in leaf mulch. I had also just stuck my finger into the jammy squidge that is the top layer of this toadstool as a means of exploring it and was trying to memorise the need to wash my hands before I started licking my fingers!

Today was a very decent one. Mr H's best friend and godson turned up unexpectedly in the morning and took a picture of me (I had this feeling it may end up on blip) with the most dreadful hair ever (I blame this squarely on Jeff Goldburn (sp???) long story). I got to have a nice meal at 'The Trouble House' which is just outside Tetbury and then headed into town to wander around the antiques shop where I picked up a Georgian mirror/small set of draws and a mahogany box which comes complete with amazingly creaky Stephen King style sound effect when you open the lid. In the shop there were 2 adults making a huge fuss of a young child, the owner was feeding him biscuits and everyone kept telling him how good and well behaved he was. I later found out he had swallowed a marble in the shop...

The afternoon consisted of a walk around Westonbirt. It was rainy and the leaves haven't changed on all the trees yet so it was super quiet which was really nice. I was able to get stuck in with taking photos. Mr H and I got separated somehow for most of the time but it was very peaceful just wandering and looking at the trees and enjoying full blown Autumn :-) Now off to enjoy a bath bomb and a glass of fizz.
