Yesterday's Backblip

It’s always a bit embarrassing when you come downstairs late morning to discover your guest is up before you. Hospitality fail. But then I discovered she’d cheated and was still in her jammies so I didn’t feel so bad. :)

Full Scottish breakfast to get us going for all the exploration of the Perthshire countryside we’d be doing in the afternoon. After all, I had to get a decent blip today after the emergency flower blip yesterday. So off we set, still blethering and laughing though not drinking wine I hasten to add to tour the back roads in search of the perfect blip.

Wasn’t long till LeeAnne spotted a field with a lovely little pony and a foal (who turned out to be a goat!) and I pulled over. We got out the car and by the time I got my camera and hobbled round to the right side of the car, LeeAnne was already making friends with the pony and feeding it polo mints. I was very impressed, horse whisperer, another skill I had no idea she possessed!

All was going well and we snapped merrily away, till there was sudden yelp from LeeAnne, who’d had her arm bitten by the horse as she’d been taking shots of the goat! I almost wet myself laughing was VERY sympathetic.

We continued our tour of the back roads and of course, as we know, all back roads lead to Gloagburn Farm Shop, it’s the Law. So we parked, went in and look what she MADE me have; a hazelnut latte and an oatmeal and raspberry scone with butter and jam. Then a second hazelnut latte. Bad, bad, girl.

LeeAnne, what can I say? Once again you have proved that Blippers really ARE the best! What a brilliant community this is, where you subscribe to a journal, strike up an online friendship that spills over into real life, when you discover that your Blip Pal is not only as wonderful as you thought they would be, but EVEN BETTER.

It was so lovely to meet you at last and thank you for a fantastic day and a half. I think we may have been quite well behaved as it was our first get together so roll on the Christmas get together. Let’s make it happen!
