More Valley of the Dolls
Have made a sample doll.
Did the face with Sharpie, which works on fabric, but bled on this one as I did it when it was stuffed. It bled onto the stuffing and back onto the fabric. But it's only a sample doll. Sharpies work ok for the faces but I think the lines are too fat, I want something a bit finer so I'm going to try fineliner (which may wash out) or acrylic paint which won't, but will be hard to do as the fabric is quite grainy. At the moment I'm thinking about how I want the faces to look. I really love Andrew Yang's Couture Dolls and though I know I could never make anything like that I am inspired by his ability to create beautiful faces that have big eyes but don't look like Disney Princesses or Bratz Dolls.
