GEORGE FRANCE: FIREMAN, SCULPTOR, GRANDAD

This Policeman was a piece made by my late Grandfather, George France.
We recently discovered that an old Pathe Newsreel of Grandad at work, dressed in his fireman's uniform and sculpting the head of a colleague, is on You Tube.
Although Grandad attended Goldsmith's in London, he was mainly self-taught.
There are also some examples of his restorative work in London's V&A Museum.
