My Favorite Rose
Mr Lincoln is a hybrid tea rose introduced in 1964. It is a proven bloomer worldwide and in our back yard. It is also my backup photo for Blip on many days when I will shoot it first thing in the morning. But this is a night shot using Flash.
Our Digital Imaging Group meeting today featured a presentation about Flash so this photo is appropriate.
Not only does Mr Lincoln display two fine blossoms, but this picture shows the entire plant with several buds that portend future flowers. It also shows munched up leaves on the lower right that are compliments of a leaf-eating moth. He is planted in a Pot and is watered daily using drip irrigation. Today, as a treat, he will receive a small amount of Rose Food.
Proven performers are worth the money when selecting roses and this specimen beautifully illustrates the point.
