Fade to Green

I love the blue of the cottage hydrangeas. I love the way they change to pink in September. Now, the younger one seems intent on turning green. And soon they will dry to the paper-thin heads which will guard the new growth until spring and the ritual of deadheading. Beautiful at every stage of the life cycle.
