Slimy Beech Caps in the morning sun
Well, I am carrying on with the fungi for as long as I can, trying to catch something of their habitat too. So this delicate little species, the Slimy Beech Cap (Oudemansiella mucida) does what it says on the tin and always has a slimy cap. It almost goes without saying that it's poisonous. The sunlight was glinting off their shiny wet surface as it came streaming down through the canopy, and provided me with a magical scene to capture.
