PJ is the Fire Chief for our area, and this was across the bay at Te Mahia, where the Kenepuru Fire force have their base. We went over this afternoon, as they were having a fire practise and then a BBQ. Most of the fire crew on our side are getting on in age, and no young ones moving into the area, so we are combining our teams.
