A Fine Day for Photos

The morning air was crisp and we had a family photo shoot scheduled for 11 a.m. There was still a little frost on the ground, but the sun was out. We had selected a spot along the river of our small city, but I had not remembered that the Farmer's Market would be open. For this event the streets are closed to vehicles and parking is a challenge. But, we all managed to get to the chosen location and put on our finest smiles. It was a gift and a treat for me to not be taking the photos.

This is the time of year when the background of colored leaves is perfect for that casual family portrait. A lot of families choose this time of year and many use the picture on their Christmas cards.
