I got a nice surprise from my brother Joe this morning when he messaged me to say that he and his girlfriend were coming up to Newcastle to go shopping if I wanted to meet up with them. After we got something to eat (and before I had to go back to reading about the NEP, which really is as 'thrilling' as it sounds) we walked past this group of buskers, who were obviously having a brilliant time. It was lovely to see people so passionate about performing, despite the cold and wet weather.
