Clogs

When I was a child my mother always threatened that she would buy me a pair of clogs if I didn't look after my shoes! However, the Guide who showed us round the Apprentices' House at Quarry Bank Mill , Cheshire, today didn't seem to mind wearing hers. She gave us a wonderful insight into life in a Mill and the hard work done, especially by the children. I was accompanied by Echo and friend who met up with my daughter-in-law's mother and me for a great day out, which is becoming an annual event.
