The first rule of Goose Club

Is to encourage members to widen their knowledge and exchange experiences about geese.

My Goose Club things arrived today which was really cool as I only sent the application form away on Monday. Not only efficient but the envelope arrived with this cute goose stamp on it. I got the yearbook and journals from 2012 and 2013 filled with articles, photographs and owners goose stories plus a catalogue with some tempting things in it. I may end up getting the Goose History and Folklore book.

I was saddened to read in one of the journals that the Shetland Goose is so rare that there are possibly only 50 left and they are not breeding much. The owner of the pair I saw at the Smallholders Festival is starting a campaign to revive them and many people are interested. I hope they are successful and I will be waiting to hear some more Shetland Goose news.
