Titanic
Had a great day today. Lunch with friends downtown and a really interesting meeting with a new up an coming project with affiliation with Save the Children International to help Syrian refugee youth go to school.
Too tired now so I'll write about it tomorrow.
In the mean time I leave you with a photo of one of my favorite flowers in Amman. I love the yellow and pink flowers as one flower...can't go wrong with a 2 for 1 deal in a flower. Gonna go to sleep now listening to one of the neighbor kids playing practicing their violin and playing the theme to Titanic. I know have a craving to watch that movie.
I want to find out who this little boy or girl is. It reminds me to much of when i was little and practiced the violin and I know understand how bad it sounds when someone young is practicing that instrument. Its tragic. Really tragic. Every night this little kid note by note practices. Most nights he/she plays "twinkle, twinkle," or I kid you not..."hot cross buns." Yep, Its now been proven on an international level that "hot cross buns" is the song they force young impressionable newly musically inspired children to play as they learn their instruments.
For tonight though, no "hot cross buns." Just the staccato and pitchy version of Celine Dion's, "My heart will go on." Or really, we haven't gotten to the go on part of the song yet...just keeps repeating, the first few lines and then hit the chorus but stops at "My heart will..." Its very hopeful, yet depressing. I'm excited to hear the whole song in the next few days!!
