Connaught Water
This morning I woke to unexpected sunshine, following rain throughout most of the night. After an appointment with my osteopath, I decided that I would stop off at Connaught Water on the way home. I haven't been there for a while and usually I don't have time. There was plenty of wildlife to see, including a heron, Canada Geese and Mandarin ducks but these lovely young swans caught my eye. There were 7 in all, still with a parent keeping guard and watching me very carefully!
Connaught Water is an artifical lake dug in the 1880s within Epping Forest,The water is named after the Duke of Connaught, the first-ever ranger of Epping Forest.
