Blipmeet #7: Avebury
Continuing their new exploration of National Trust properties, CleanSteve and Woodpeckers came over to Avebury to see Avebury Manor NT and I met up with them there.
It was the first time I had been inside the Manor since November 2011, shortly after they had opened the house to visitors following a thorough and lengthy refurbishment, so I was interested to see how it had developed since then, and to reacquaint myself with favourite rooms such as the kitchen and the library, which now doubles as the tea-room. From the pictures I took, I appear to have become preoccupied with the views through the old leaded windows.
I managed to leave my glasses behind after our afternoon coffee/tea and cake, and I became temporarily separated from my blipmates as I madly retraced my steps in search of the spectacles, and after finding them I took this picture of some cottages at the bottom end of the High Street while trying to find the blipper party again. I thought at the time that it was a shot I had probably blipped before and therefore unusable, but in fact I had never photographed this particular stretch.
