Thistle Down

Blue Eyes

Beautiful...and innocent,
Blue eyes...I see.
Tinted in love,
And looking at me.

Blue...like the ocean,
That rises in spray.
And blue like the mountains,
That stand far away.

Blue...blue eyes,
A real cherished part.
Sincere and true,
And dear to my heart.

By seeing full vision,
In looks...they reveal.
How blue eyes...awaken,
From depths that are real.

Blue eyes...O blue eyes,
Pigmented in line.
May the little cross-pieces,
Dip down into mine.

Ethel's great granddaughter, Jayne and great grandson, Joe. Joe is my only child with blue eyes - and to look deeply into his eyes transports me to another world.
