My view out of the kitchen windows today...

On my day off today it rained, apart from about an hour where it temporarily gave up, all day long and into the evening...

Alex went to school in the rain... and came back in even heavier rain.

Water dripping, swooshing, gurgling and pouring noises emanated from different parts of the building all day. I have a feeling some of the down pipe exits on the guttering need checking for blockages...

I used the tumble dryer!

I did not feel the lure of the outdoors apart from picking up Alex from Explorers at 9:30 - I used the windscreen wipers on fast...

Now I'm off to bed hoping that the house does not float away in the night like an ark.
