Sting me

Just moments after I took this picture events took a somewhat unexpected turn. An unidentified insecty-type thing flew out of the bushes to the left and stung me on the forehead! I felt something buzz across my face, instinctively tried to brush it away, and the next thing I knew...zzzzt! My face didn't swell up like a water balloon or anything dramatic but ee by 'eck, it hurt for a while. Was it a late season bee, a desperado wasp, or some other mystery winged critter? I don't know, but that is definitely the first time I have ever been zzzzted on the way into work.... Inevitable track of the day!
