It's all about ... reproduction ...

And they already started to line up ... ;) This picture is made in the South America hall Amazonica in the Roterdam Zoo Blijdorp against the end of the afternoon.

The butterfly is called Vuurpassiebloemvlinder (typical Dutch, making one word out of of more: Vuur+passie+bloem+vlinder). In English Fire Passion Butterfly. The scientific name is Dryas julia.

I chose for the colored version because I find that color adds to this scene. But the choice wasn't obvious, you can see that here.

In front of us the weekend. The weather has had better predictions but nevertheless I wish you all a weekend as happy as can be ... ;)
