It wasn't really this cold today, bless him! Just trying on his new winter suit and hat which arrived this morning. He wasn't very impressed at being dressed up with nowhere to go! We popped out (in normal autumnal attire) for nappies, toothbrushes and toothpaste. Amelie begged me for pink princess toothpaste and I relented like the weak mother I am, thinking it would help encourage lots of regular teeth brushing. Unfortunately we discovered tonight, yep - you guessed it, it tasted like bubblegum and is a big no no. We came home for lunch and Isaac's nap, where we made cakes. I made sugar free carrot and coconut cakes and Amelie made postman pat cakes...from a box. We went out again briefly in the rain before I attempted to make chilli for dinner with one hyper (thanks postman pat cakes) child and a whingey one who didn't want to be put down. Isaac loved the chilli, he got stuck in as usual and had a clean tray by the end (although this really doesn't mean much because the mess is everywhere else)and a big orange Oompa Loompa face. Amelie had fish fingers, beans and a few chips and she still complained. Thank goodness it's Friday!
