Well met

I crossed the county today on my way to my regular "ladies who lunch" date with a group of friends who in the past had busy roles in the WI for Surrey. All retired now and this regular social event, as well as being a happy occasion, is a mutual support in times of problems. Our hostess today is trying to sell her house, without success so far, so she was glad of our cheerful company.
I could have travelled on the M25 but chose instead the country route, passing this decorative well on a village green. The journey home was unpleasant, 70 minutes in heavy rain and late afternoon traffic. But it was worth it to see old friends.
