Colour Blind

While the sensors in a camera go some way towards achieving the sensitivity of the human eye, no camera has yet combined its sensors with the processing ability of the human brain. It is our combination of eyes and brain that makes human colour perception so superior. Nevertheless we are not perfect. Our brains can be fooled by many types of illusion and our abilities can differ considerably from one person to the next. Many photographers seem to have excellent colour vision but the fact is that in the general population we all perceive colour differently. For some people their condition is so marked that it has become known as colour blindness.
