"best days of my life"

My university - many tears were shed in this building but there are many more happy memories to make up for it!

University was a life experience that completely changed me and I know I keep going on about it but going to uni and meeting the people that I've met here and who are now my closest friends really did change me from the incredibly shy, insecure girl that arrived in Dundee 5 years ago to the person I am today that can stand up in one of my old lecture rooms and speak to a room of 300 1st years about my university experience and where I am now.

Last year I spoke to them whilst still looking and sounding like a bit of a chipmunk after my jaw surgery. This year - I had nothing to hide behind! I'd like to think that I was still able to connect with them on a student level rather than on a working professional level! (That still sounds weird!)

Both the students and the lecturers seemed to enjoy my presentation and I think I've been booked in again for next year! At this rate I'll have created a reputation for myself! Repeat performances are difficult to do! haha!

If I can give just one homesick student the boost they need to see out the experience to the very end then that's good enough for me!
