A Chore

Friday is not normally my day for household chores. I go to the gym and then usually chill for the rest of the day. I might do some little jobs in the garden but it's currently pouring with rain.

At this time of the year our birch tree insists on shedding, not only its leaves, but also these little tiny brown scaly things. They blow in from the garden and get everywhere. They cover the floor of the utility room and spread themselves into the kitchen. We're expecting visitors this afternoon so I thought I’d better have a go at getting rid of these annoying little things. Not a big enough job for a vacuum cleaner so my very colourful dust pan and brush get a rare outing. What a chore!!
