Eastern Bloc

I KNEW I'd taken a photo on 26th August, but could I find it. Frustating to have that little gap in the Blip calendar... Found it just now, though, gratifying.

I remembered taking this shot, walking through St Andrew Square and seeing that, finally, the scaffolding and hoardings that had hidden the disruptive tram works had been removed. And there was a 'tram island', empty of people (and trams) and the place had the air of a pre-Perestroika Eastern Bloc suburb.
