You never know...

....what you will find to blip. Today, I drove down random back roads and stopped at a scenic field. My idea was to shoot a landscape; I took numerous pictures, but my instincts told me that I would not be happy with the results. Fortunately, Blip has taught me to pay attention to these thoughts because they are usually right. On my way out of the area, I kept looking for other things to shoot.

This tree was located near the exit of the field I had entered. I was drawn to the interesting patterns of the leaves and the nice backlighting. I also liked how the leaves overlap and provide the interesting shadow.

This shot is hand held with my 100mm macro lens. I like the way it turned out, but think that it would be better with smaller aperture to provide more depth of field. The shot was hand held and I did not bring my tripod and so my options were limited. That said, I still like this shot. The intricate patterns of mother nature are amazing.

On a side note, I will be on and off the blip grid the next few days and so may not get to blipping until Sunday. Look for back blips.
